  17.      The _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m utility restarts the file manager on the desktop
  18.      background and, if necessary, the icon catalog.  Its purpose is to show
  19.      new application icons immediately, saving the user the trouble of logging
  20.      out and back in.

  23.      _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m displays a question dialog asking the user whether to
  24.      restart _f_m and _i_c_o_n_c_a_t_a_l_o_g.  If the user clicks the Now button, then it
  25.      restarts them immediately.  Caveat: All iconviews (dirviews) are closed
  26.      and must be reopened manually by the user.  The existing _f_m process is
  27.      reused via the ////uuuussssrrrr////lllliiiibbbb////ddddeeeesssskkkkttttoooopppp////tttteeeellllllllddddeeeesssskkkkttttoooopppp rrrreeeessssttttaaaarrrrtttt command.  If the user
  28.      clicks the Later pushbutton, the dialog is dismissed.

  31.      The _f_m_s_e_r_v program calls _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m when it detects that the
  32.      /_u_s_r/_l_i_b/_f_i_l_e_t_y_p_e/_d_e_s_k_t_o_p._o_t_r icons database has changed, the usual cause
  33.      of which is software installation.  The _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m script is not
  34.      intended to be run directly by the end user.

  45.      _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m creates the $_H_O_M_E/._d_e_s_k_t_o_p-<_h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e>/_A_s_k_i_n_g_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_D_e_s_k_t_o_p
  46.      file, where $_H_O_M_E is the user's home directory and <_h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e> is the host
  47.      name as returned by _h_o_s_t_n_a_m_e(_1).  When the user dismisses the dialog,
  48.      _a_s_k_R_e_s_t_a_r_t_F_m removes the file.  If the script detects that the file
  49.      already exists, it exits without creating the file or showing the dialog.
  50.      When installing many applications, the user can avoid seeing many dialogs
  51.      by waiting until all products are installed to dismiss the dialog.
